Welcome to the Jungle: Nevada Day

A very happy Nevada Day and Reformation Day to you all!

In case you didn’t know, the “Silver State” was the 36th state to join the Union on October 31st, 1864, ahead of such notable mentions as Nebraska, Colorado, Washington, and Utah. Yes, Nevada is not young! “Battle Born” is emblazoned on its flag as a reminder of its participation in the Civil War (we said it was old), and the overlap with the Sierra Nevada mountain range is where its name, rooted in Spanish, comes from meaning “snowy” or “snow-covered.”

Maximus Rex Joins the Family

We’re about three months into our launch of Maximus Rex Joins the Family and have been so blessed and excited for the enthusiasm and excitement you all have shared with us.

As a reminder, these books are being written as a fundraising mechanism for NICU and PICU units and for organizations supporting parents who have suffered the loss of a child or who have intense medical requirements.

As we approach selling our 350th book, we are preparing our initial donation and will keep you all posted with how your money is being used.

We are also closing in on getting the second book, Maximus Rex and the Magical Flamingo, underway with the illustrator. Expect more information as we approach Q1 2024! Minor spoiler: Maximus Rex is going to meet his best friend and go on an amazing journey that Indiana Jones would be proud of!

This is the first blog entry in The Carnivore Chronicle and we will use it to share book news, publish a series called “From Concept to Carnivore,” talking about the process of creating, assembling, and selling the books, and to share sweet stories about THE Mighty Max, for whom this whole thing began in the first place.

Copies of our book can be purchased from our shop. We ship fast (and free) in the U.S.

Sincerely,

The Adventures of Maximus Rex Team (King, Lynnette, Russell, and Lucy the dog)
